How to Root Galaxy Note N7000 running on XXLT9 Jellybean 4.1.2

Step 1. Install drivers on your computer.

Step 2: Extract Odin on the desktop to root Galaxy Note N7000.

Step 3: Now, switch off your phone to boot it into Odin/Download mode by pressing and holding Volume down + Home + Power Key (long Press), till you see the Android Logo on screen. And then press the Power key to enter download mode.

Step 4: Open the “Odin.exe” and then connect your phone to computer via USB cable. As soon as you connect, ID:COM box in Odin turns light green/yellow color.

Step 5: Now, click on PDA button and select PDA file (.tar.md5) from the extracted folder.

Step 6: Make sure that only F. Reset Time and Auto Reboot boxes are checked on Odin. Don’t check any other boxes.

Step 7: Click on Start button on Odin to start installation process. It will take upto 5 – 8 minutes, so please wait for the installation finish.

Step 8: Finally, you will get PASS! Notification on the ID: COM box and then your device will reboot automatically and now you can unplug your phone from computer.

  1. Followed all instructions and all seemed to go well except there was a yellow exclamation triangle on the phone when it rebooted. All root checkers I have installed on the phone show that I still don't have root access. I even tried using a later version of Odin but with same rsult.
